How it works
Leave what never was.
Never-Bound™ is an anonymous market of tales that never were. Tip your coins to your favorites. Enjoy. HappyRock L.L.C. keeps the stall. It does not publish the tales.
Words
- Stall
- The public shelves. Titles, covers, and pen names.
- Tale
- A work that never was: complete, fragmentary, abandoned, or hypothetical.
- Listing
- One tale, or a figure from one, as it sits on the stall.
- Jar
- A writer’s tip cup. Coins left here are a gift to that writer, not a purchase of the tale.
- Coin
- The stall’s chip. A subscription stamps them. Readers tip them. Writers are paid from the ones in the jar.
- House
- The ten-dollar monthly subscription. It is not the jar.
- Guest
- A reader who has paid the house for the month.
- Lamp
- The reader’s room.
- Study
- The writer’s room. Listing and the other writer tools are open.
- Pen name
- The name on the stall. Not your email.
- Payout
- Coins in a writer’s jar, sent to their bank.
The stall
The stall shows tales that never were: complete, fragmentary, abandoned, or hypothetical. A listing is a manuscript or a figure from one. The writer keeps the work.
Two doors
One account. Choose the lamp to read, or the study to list. You can walk into the other room whenever you like. The stall shows a pen name, not your email.
Readers
Ten dollars a month makes you a guest of the house and stamps 250 coins. Spend them on the tales you like. A coin in a jar is a tip. It does not buy the tale.
Writers
Writer features are unlocked. Listing does not cost coins, and neither does the rest of the study. The coins readers leave in your jar are for payout. Connect a bank when you want them sent. The house does not take a cut. The card processor’s fee (2.9% + $0.30) comes out of the payout.
Age
You must be 18 to enroll, read excerpts, tip, or list. The checkbox is your word. The house does not check an ID.
